R K Education Trust was born in 1982 with the belief of creating a neighbourhood school. Setup by its Chairman Sri S Raju and Trustee Secretary Smt Gayathri S Raju in their humble home in Sultanpalya, they saw a vision of creating an education facility that feels like home for its students.

While Sri S Raju brought in his years of experience in the construction industry into building the school literally brick by brick, Smt Gayathri S Raju’s passion with teaching little children eventually got her to complete her training in Montessori education. Indian Public School (formerly R K Indian School) remained in Sultanpalya until 2020.

Today, their vision 40 years ago has brought into fruition a unique school campus.

The Kanakanagar Campus was setup in 2010, and in 2020, the campus began to see a new lease of life with a clear focus on building an educational facility that could cater to the needs of students across all age groups.

Today, Gurudarshan Somayaji, the Vice Chairman manages the running of the Trust and is the mentor of the school. With a Master’s Degree in Journalism Studies, and decades of workexperience in the entertainment industry, he comes with skills including writing, business development and project operations. He believes school education should truly be holistic and evolve beyond text books and conventional rote learning.
